Harlem, NY, May 22, 2014 - EVT Educational Productions is pleased to announce that Eric V. Tait, Jr. will be participating in the Left Forum Convocation which will run from Friday, May 30th, to Sunday, June 1st, at John Jay College. The Conference Theme for Left Forum 2014 is “Reform and/or Revolution: Imagining a World with Transformative Justice.”
Eric will be a member of the panel for Session 7, which is titled “The Role of Media in a Revolutionary Transformation of Society” and is sponsored by: AfrobeatRadio. Session 7 will be held in Room 1.81 on Sunday, June 1, from 03:40pm - 05:40pm. As part of that discussion, Eric will be taking a look at the historical roots of the racial injustices embedded in our criminal justice system that has evolved into the proliferation of Stand Your Ground laws and Stop-and-Frisk policing policies and tactics. He will use segments of “Media Watch” and EVT Educational Production’s “Then I’ll Be Free To Travel Home” to help illustrate Media’s Role in fostering and/or alleviating these racially motivated travesties of justice. He looks forward to seeing as many of you there as possible.
